Akwa Ibom State Governor, pastor Umo-Eno has advised residents against sharing their personal information on social media as such constitutes a security risk to themselves and their families.

Governor Umo Eno who gave the advice today during this month’s edition of Government House prayer service in Uyo, said people should be wary of putting their data on the internet so as to keep others off from knowing everything about them.

The Governor said recent happenings shows that 80 percent cases of kidnapping in the State is attributed to information kidnappers received from people around the victim.

He also said that his government was making efforts at executing people-oriented projects in more communities and that replacing vandalised facilities like transformers while other communities do not have one, would no longer be tolerated.

The State’s Chief Executive decried an attempt by stakeholders to hijack his ARISE Elders Initiative, which he noted was not for PDP members alone and not for an individual to select all the beneficiaries.

“A lot of people are asking us, what is your legacy project? For me, our legacy project is rural development. Everybody has his own style. The current reality demands that we do soft infrastructure, because you can do those hard ones and before people will use them, they are dead. That is not to say that we won’t do what we wanted to do. As we step into the second year, we are stepping up on what we wanted to do in line with our ARISE Agenda.” Governor Umo Eno said.
