As a way of showing gratitude to God who have made all things beautiful in His time, the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), of Great Memories Media Limited, Deacon Ubong Andrew-Essien has led all staff and others to the house of God for a special thanksgiving.
The thanksgiving service held on Sunday 28th April, 2024 at the United Evangelical Church, Caleb’s Camp, Ultrafit, Ewet Housing Estate, Mbiabong Etoi Superintendency, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Addressing the mammoth crowd at the service, Dcn. Essien recalled that memories 96.5fm was inaugurated on Monday , 22nd April, 2024 by the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, revealed he was amazed over the massive turnout of guests at the inaugural ceremony.
He gave a run-down of the history of the organisation’s journey since 2007 in Lagos State of Nigeria, which he said it is the fulfilment of God’s prophecy.
The veteran, while introducing names of his staff, thanked God for the successful journey and relative peace enjoyed so far, while tasked staff to bond together in order to make the unexpected possible, on the positive side.
Deacon Essien, assured to make positive strides to engender laudable and enviable projects that will stand the test of time, noting that it behooves on everyone to lend an irrevocable support to help them attain their slated goals.
In his homily, Rev. Chimaobi Gabriel Anchor who spoke on the topic, ” God Our Source Of Strength “, read from Isaiah 40: 25 – 31, established that God is the only source that has no limit.
The clergyman, noted that many persons have lent their trust in man-made substances, which he described as a source of temporary strength.
He encouraged Christian faithfuls to acknowledge God as their source of strength, explained that one with God is a majority, so as to enjoy an inexplicable grace.
” God is incomparable and unquantifiable, come to his knowledge, depend on God’s strength and experience His astounding varieties ,” the collar man added.
In the same vein, the Head of Memories 96.5 Radio Station, Mr. Elijah Akpan, expressed delight over the things God has done for the organisation.
Akpan, remarked that although the radio station is a baby in the industry and amidst challenges, God has been faithful to sustain them, while maintained that it is their starting point to more greater heights
The event was attended by the member representing Etinan State Constituency, Hon. (Engr.) Uduak – Obong Ekpo Ufot, members of the UEC, Wife of Chairman, Great Memories Media Limited, Mrs. Cornel Andrew-Essien; staff of Great Memories Media Limited and many others.
The event featured, song ministration by UEC choir and thanksgiving song by Memories Media Limited and sermon.
